Strong Winds Cause Mosaic Collapse
   http://www.dailynk.com/english/read.php?cataId=nk01500&num=10498 [808]
A mosaic wall idolizing Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il collapsed due to high winds, sources reported to the Daily NK. These sources claimed that corruption led to poor construction, and this left the mosaic unable to withstand the onslaught of strong winds. The sources claimed that workers in charge of building the mosaic wall stole some of the cement set apart for the project and sold it for private gain. This ultimately led to the collapse.

Building monuments to idolize the leaders is hardly a new concept in North Korea. Statues and mosaics can be found throughout the country, in all different shapes and sizes, displaying the majesty and grandeur of the leaders. People must respect these monuments as if they were the leaders themselves, bowing to them and placing flowers before them. Wedding ceremonies are even held in front of the statues, as a way for the newlyweds to receive the blessing of the leaders.

With so much importance placed on these monuments, there is no doubt that those responsible for the mosaic collapse will receive harsh punishments. Exactly what those punishments will be is uncertain.
