Rural North Koreans mobilized as Pyongyang construction project falls behind schedule

As North Korean leader Kim Jong Un vowed to build 50,000 houses by the end of 2025, including 10,000 in 2021, workers from rural areas are being mobilized to work as storm troopers on Pyongyangs construction site amid the projects schedule delay.

However, workers are disinclined to move to Pyongyang knowing they will have to work long hours in freezing temperatures day and night with no proper nourishment or shelter. Yet, they are not allowed to return home to see their families unless their time is due.

Hopelessly, some workers disguise homeless people as factory workers and send them to the storm troopers for 30,000 won a month along with some winter clothes.
