Sinuiju citizens dying from lack of food
Recently, food-poor households are increasing rapidly as North Korea’s food shortages continue.
Sinuiju, a city where ‘Chinese-North Korean’ trade was active, is now collapsing from starvation. A source reported that Sinuiju citizens started dying from starvation since the Lunar Year’s holiday.
The following news shocked North Koreans, because in Sinuiju, some people have private plots of lands to farm on. However, the authorities have been forbidding the movement of people amid COVID-19 restrictions. Therefore, people couldn’t dig up wild vegetables nor fish in the rivers.
