North Korean authorities are carrying out additional investigations for 100 people upon possible contact with religious groups in China, according to the Daily NK.

A Pyongyang source stated, 30 people were sent to prison camps and I was told that a total number of around 100 more residents have been taken in for questioning by the Department of State Security. Among them there are some who went to China this year, and others that visited five to eight years ago."

The people being questioned went in under the premise that they might have ties with missionaries from the neighborhood below (referring to South Korea). The source added in prediction, If this is proven to be true, they will ultimately be sent to prison camps.

The Daily NK reported that even though North Korean authorities have been keeping an eye on the religious group for quite a long time, this is an unusual method and shows how sensitive the current situation is being considered by officials.
