According to Radio Free Asia, the food aid scale of the World Food Programme (WFP) last month reached only 15% of its goal, and 1/3 of the North Korean factories, which the UN manages, were stopped.

Nanna Skau, a spokeperson for the WFP, said that 5 out of 14 food factories in North Korea, which are managed by the UN, were stopped, as grains for food ingredients were insufficient. As a result, the WFP provided 3,000 tons of food to around 1,540,000 North Korean people, which was only 15% of their planned amount for food distribution. Also, the number of students whose food aid was stopped doubled, and pregnant women only got a 20-day supply of super cereals. The spokesperson stated that donations from the international community are desperately needed.
