Radio Free Asia reported that the North Korean regime released many prisoners from labor training camps for Kim Il Sungs 101st birthday.

According to a source in North Hamkyeong Province, almost 100% of female prisoners were released, and around half of the male prisoners were released from labor training camps. The regime also released executive members, who were sent to labor training camps for revolutionary activities. The regime is using this as propaganda to show that the release of prisoners is a great concern of Kim Jong Eun.

However, many North Korean people are complaining about too much emphasis on the concerns of Kim Jong Eun. Also, they are saying that since the labor camps are packed and prison facilities are insufficient, the regime released many prisoners. As a result, people are not putting much meaning on the release.
